Last week, I shared the vignette “Cooking with Grandma’s Digital Twin”, a glimpse into a future shaped by memory preservation and AI companions. It was the first in a new series of narratives designed to humanize the complex forces shaping our future. These vignettes are part of a broader foresight approach I have called possibility chains – connected sets of plausible developments within a single theme or driver of change.

As this work evolves, each possibility chain will be accompanied by a short video – a one-minute story designed to bring a specific pathway within the chain to life. These videos serve as emotional entry points, helping us imagine how structural change could show up in the routines, relationships, and decisions of everyday life. Like the vignettes, they’re crafted to spark reflection, conversation, and deeper exploration of the futures we may be moving toward.
